Wet powder coating method for cast bullets

This is how I coat my lead cast bullets with powder coat. I never had much luck with the dry tumbling method so I tried and eventually came out with this. Many round down the barrel I decided to share it.

This is "IT" for auto accessories!!!
This "Silver Vein" powder coat is one of my favorites! It has a nice, rich semi-gloss textured finish and looks especially nice on suspension parts, bumper brackets and engine tin on my cars. Its very durable and looks just right. You can clear over it if you like glossy, and I'm sure this will make it even more durable. I'd powder coat my whole car with this, if it would just fit in the oven!!!
  • Great color!
The sample picture does not come close to doing this color justice. This color is a really great color. The final color is really cool looking but It's as cool to watch bake in the oven. I had some brackets done for my old Excursion in this color professionally years ago and what I am coating in my garage now is at least equal in quality to what I paid a shop to do and the color is exactly the same. I shot a coat of the high gloss clear over the silver vein which really makes it "pop" and shine like it's still wet. The trick I used to shoot the clear was to pull the part out of the oven after curing the Silver Vein, let it cool for about 5 minutes then shoot the clear on it. Thicker pieces will still be hot and the clear will actually melt and gloss over right away. I then throw them back in the oven, lower the heat to 375 and back for another 20 minutes. The pieces come out fantastic. I am rebuilding a rock crawling vehicle, a 1972 Jeepster Commando. I am powder coating all of the door handles, hinges, anything chrome in the Satin Black powder (which is great BTW) and I'm doing the tailgate hardware, latches, and other brackets in the Silver Vein (which is actually black with silver bleeding through) and it really accents the satin black items. If you're on the fence about this color, jump over and get some. It will be one of your favorite colors. I'll take some pictures and add them here, Eastwood should but I'll help them and I know it will sell more of this color!
  • Great for engine parts
My favorite powdercoat color. Used it on my intake manifold, valve covers, air cleaner and more. Requires some practice to get the right result; apply too little and it just comes out as a dark gray, but put it on heavy enough and the black and silver separate resulting in a nice textured effect
  • Great looking
Very easy powder to use, pictures do this powder no justice, everyone i have showed love this color
