Wet powder coating method for cast bullets

This is how I coat my lead cast bullets with powder coat. I never had much luck with the dry tumbling method so I tried and eventually came out with this. Many round down the barrel I decided to share it.

  • Pretty good for cast bullets.
I used this powder for powder coating bullets. The color is a little more pink like for this application. I believe that if I were to double coat or to use the powder for mare typical application, this would not be a problem. Also, translucent powders are a little more difficult with coating bullets, as because they are translucent, inconsistent coverage is more noticeable, but does not take away from the beauty or durability of the product. Nice coverage with good adhering with this method. great color.
  • Translucent Red powder.
I have always liked the deep richness and application of this powder. Makes for a great topcoat on your projects.
  • WOW!
I was experimenting with a technique on aluminum and was hoping this color would be transparent enough to highlight the effect. WOW was I surprised!!! Surpassed any expectations possible!
  • Great color!!!!!
My son picked this color for his dirt bike and it looks way better than the picture.
  • Great color!!!
This color looks even better than the image My customers love it.
  • Crimson/Blood red! Great over chrome.
This was my first experience using powder that wasn't the $6 Harbor Freight stuff. I was shooting some lugs for a snare drum. HUGE difference. Using the HF portable powdercoat system, it didn't clog, clump, or 'spit'. Everything went on evenly and quickly. It felt like there was a better current because of how even everything sprayed. I'll never use anything but Eastwood powder as long as they have the color I need. Excellent experience. No orange peel when baked in a simple toaster oven at 350 for approx 20 min. This red has a 'candy' like appearance, almost like a dark red lollipop. "blood red" was what the customer asked for, and the color also fits that description, but with a nice luster, similar to a glass Christmas ornament.
  • best looking red yet
I shot this color over a bare steel gas tank, fender and oil bag for a custom motorcycle that had swirl marks in a kind of a machine pattern. two coats of the anodized red and it came out looking like kandy apple red!! It flows nice and covers well... but make sure that there is no dirt, lint, fuzz or anything, it will show. scotchbrite between coats helps with the orange peel.
  • Looks Amazing
Product looks amazing, then when you take it out in the sun, it expodes. Best color i think Eastwood makes
  • Love it
Man does it look good in direct sunlight
  • I LOVE this powder
This is a great powder. It only looks really good as a two stage powder. Use chrome powder as a base first. See the before and after photo.
  • awsome color
It goes on easy and looks perfect has a very good shine. goes good right over chrome or reflective chrome and for a deep candy red over bright red
  • Great color
Great color - flows evenly. I learned that the lighter coats work best to bring out the translucent properties the best, if you get it too heavy - it's still a very nice dark red but it doesn't appear as transparent. Shot it on a smoked chrome piece as a fade and it turned out excellent.
