“Gianetta in Sydney heard about Leatherique on 2GB radio DIY program. She had two lounge suites, one just need cleaning and one needed dying. She used Leatherique Rejuvinator Oil and Prestine Clean on both. The two seater came up really well, see photo.

The three seater needed some crack / tear repairs and she shows how after placing a leather patch underneath she temporary pinned it in place to dry.

There is a shot of the crack filler applied before dying.

“ Jon from Armidale in NSW recently (2010) bought a 7 series BMW that was great apart from some upholstery problems. He asked our advice to restore the leather and started on the drivers door arm rest that looked the worst.

He stripped back some old, badly done, re dye. Then he used the Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil and Leatherique Prestine Clean to get the leather back into good condition. This was followed by Leatherique Crack Filler in all the cracks and flat sanding it to level it off. A wet sanding with the Leatherique Prepping agent followed by a couple of coats of the matched Leatherique Custom Colour Dye (matched to his head rest that he sent to us) “wiped on” and the door was back to looking as good as new. Next stage is the drivers seat and some golf bag marks on the back seat.”

Before After

Braham has re dyed the E type Jag seats using the whole Leatherique process. His comment to the owner was, "Have not overdone the restoration, left some age marks to give it the authentic and proper ambience for a girl her age"

"Henry has re done the whole of his Aston Martin interior. He used Leatherique throughout and sprayed it on with an airbrush after trying various other methods. To break the colour he applied a dark blue Leatherique dye to the piping after doing the seats, which has given it a really striking effect. This was a time consuming job with all the Leatherique products being used, oils, crack filler etc but the result was worth it. He brought it round to PPC to show us. Well done on an excellent job Henry."

Before After

The customer wanted to change the colour and get away from the two tone that he had on the original.
"I thought you may be interested in the finished Leatherique product.

I'm pleased with it, the problems were to re colour and trying to get different types of leather and different colours to all look the same, I've done the best I can, and it looks good.

But, may I make the following comments, with regard to the instructions, first, there should be mention of "GOOD" quality brush, the softer the better, be prepared to use a few.

Second, if I had more "Leatherique Prepping Agent" I would have used it, it really seemed to open up the leather and almost bleach some of the old dye out.

This is important when trying to match darker colours to lighter colours.

I found I was experimenting in the beginning, and with a bit more instruction I could have avoided that.

That aside, a good finished product, so I'm happy."
